About Me
Hey there! I'm Josie Oliva! I'm from a little town called Raceland in the heart of Southeast Louisiana's Bayou Country. I discovered my passion for music at an early age and I haven't stopped singing since. I began performing locally at age 14, continued to pursue music through school, and after developing a particular love for theatre, attended the University of New Orleans to study theatre arts. There, I began a professional career in acting and later graduated from Northwestern State University of Natchitoches, Louisiana with a bachelor's degree concentrated in musical theatre performance.
Now, I'm working as an actor for film, tv, and theatre in and around New Orleans. I'm also a vocalist and acoustic guitarist and can frequently found gigging all around the state of Louisiana--and recently, the WORLD! Since graduating college, I've been contracted as a seasonal cruise line entertainer, performing as an acoustic-accompanied solo-act--an opportunity that has led to the opening of many new and exciting doors. And the adventures have only just begun...
